Williamsburg Health Journal is Here

On behalf of the entire staff at Williamsburg Health Journal, I thank you for taking the time to read our first issue. We hope you and your family benefit from the articles and information you find on the following pages. We also hope to meet the need for health and medical information targeted specifically to the residents of Williamsburg and James City County. And it’s free!

Our goal at Williamsburg Health Journal is to continually educate and engage the community with the latest health and medical news and promote a healthy lifestyle by offering valuable information to our readers. We will share with you inspirational stories of local residents who have met both setbacks and successes in their experience with illness or injury. Each month, you will find compelling interviews with local doctors, news on recent breakthroughs in medicine, and a medical directory listing physicians and specialists in our immediate area. Additional monthly features will include a community calendar of health-related events, informative articles, and much more.

As you will see in this issue’s Community Calendar, this month the local chapter of the American Cancer Society will host the seventh annual Relay For Life at Jamestown High School. This is an opportunity for us to pay tribute to loved ones who have lost their lives to cancer, as well as celebrate those who have survived and overcome. Most importantly, Relay For Life raises money to help find a cure and gives us hope for the future. Having lost two beloved grandparents to this disease, I will be there to honor their memory and the countless others who are no longer with us. When you pass the WHJ campsite, please don’t hesitate to introduce yourself and tell us why you chose to walk.

We hope you enjoy our first issue and find it useful, entertaining, and inspiring. Most of all, we hope our continuous support leads you and your family to a healthier way of living.

I invite you to share with us any questions you may have about Williamsburg Health Journal. Also, I welcome your suggestions and ideas! Please email your comments to: info@williamsburghealth.com

Sincerely,
